AzeTag customer agreement

Terms and Conditions

Effective 13 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-13

1. Agreement and authority

These Terms and Conditions govern your company's use of AzeTag's asset and calibration record management service. By selecting the acceptance checkbox during signup, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms and are authorised to agree on behalf of your company. Your company is responsible for its authorised users.

2. Service and customer responsibilities

AzeTag helps you store assets, calibration records, certificates and supplier details. You remain responsible for the accuracy, completeness and lawful use of your records, calibration decisions and compliance obligations. Review AI-extracted certificate data before approving it; AI output and due-date reminders may be incomplete or incorrect and are not professional advice or certification.

Keep passwords confidential, manage access promptly when team members leave, and notify info@azetag.com of suspected unauthorised access. Do not misuse the service, upload unlawful material or attempt to bypass security or access another company's information.

3. Trial, subscriptions and access

New companies receive a 30-day free trial. Continued access requires an annual card subscription within your selected asset limit. Prices are shown in Australian dollars before checkout. If your checkout authorises automatic renewal, your subscription renews annually unless cancelled before renewal. The checkout and billing information describes your selected price and renewal arrangements. Any refund rights required by law are preserved.

When the trial or paid subscription expires without renewal, normal access and writes are restricted; billing and support remain available. You should retain independent copies of your records before access ends.

4. Expiry and deletion of records

If your company does not resubscribe within three calendar months after its trial or paid access expires, its assets, calibration records and associated certificates are scheduled for permanent deletion. Company accounts, users, suppliers and departments are retained. Resubscribing before deletion cancels the scheduled deletion; resubscribing afterwards does not recover deleted records.

AzeTag attempts to email active company users at expiry, 30 days before deletion, seven days before deletion and after deletion. Delivery depends on valid contact details and email availability and is not guaranteed. Keep your own calendar reminders and copies; a missed email does not extend the retention period.

5. Data storage and backups

AzeTag uses Knack to store application records. As checked on 13 October 2026, Knack's documentation states that it creates daily backups of app data and structure, including pages, views and rules. Restores are included in Knack Corporate plans and above; its documentation lists a $100/hour charge for other plans and says restores are unavailable for Knack trial accounts. These are Knack's platform policies, not the terms of AzeTag's customer trial or a promise of free restoration. Any quoted Knack fee is in Knack's published currency, not an AzeTag AUD price.

Knack's backups are provider-managed recovery measures, not a customer-controlled archive or a guarantee that every record or uploaded certificate can be restored. Availability, retention, restoration scope and fees depend on Knack's current policies and AzeTag's applicable Knack plan. AzeTag does not promise a fixed backup retention period, recovery time or zero data loss; changes since the last backup may be lost. Any recovery request must be assessed with Knack.

Keep independent, current copies of critical asset and calibration records and original certificate files outside AzeTag. Where exports are available, export your records regularly and store them securely. Knack states that exporting image or file fields provides URLs to the files on its servers, not independent copies of those files; download and retain the original files separately. Provider backups do not extend AzeTag's three-month expiry retention period or guarantee recovery after scheduled deletion. The official Knack sources listed with these terms describe the provider's policies.

6. Hacking, cyberattacks and data loss

No online service can guarantee complete security or uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AzeTag does not accept responsibility or liability for loss, corruption, theft, destruction or unavailability of data caused by hacking, cyberattacks, ransomware, malicious third parties or unauthorised access. You acknowledge these risks and are responsible for keeping independent backups of your critical records and certificates.

This exclusion does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law or other mandatory law, or removes any non-excludable obligation relating to privacy, security or the handling of personal information.

7. Customer data and third-party services

You retain ownership of the data you submit and authorise AzeTag and its service providers to process it as needed to operate the service, including storage, certificate extraction and the emails you enable. Only submit information you are entitled to share and take care with personal or confidential information. Third-party outages and changes may affect availability and recovery.

8. Changes, disputes and contact

AzeTag may update these terms and will notify account administrators of material changes before they take effect. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights or mandatory legal protections. Your signup email contains the version accepted at signup. Contact info@azetag.com with questions, complaints, billing issues or a request for a copy of your accepted terms.
